1. [+3,747, -104] We all know this is what it's like behind the scenes, just can't say it directly. I applaud the bravery of this journalist.

2. [+3,323, -99] Such a deep-rooted evil. I can already see how much power abuse will take place by both broadcast companies and agencies. Please get rid of the gayo daejuns at this point. I was so frustrating watching, sigh..

3. [+2,913, -95] A mid-tier company will never be able to beat a top-tier company

4. [+353, -14] This makes me want to boycott SM singers now. They weren't able to achieve anything fair and square with their skills alone, how are they not embarrassed to take the ending stages like that? Honestly, SM's concepts and songs have not been meeting expectations and are actually on the decline. I'd be too embarrassed to use my money to take opportunities like this. The entire world has acknowledged BTS. Immoral companies need to flop. How can we allow a society that lets these companies abuse their networking and power instead of fighting with skill? The future of our country is on the line and yet top-tier companies are so blinded by greed that they're willing to abuse their power any chance they get. Let's please boycott those companies and anyone who creates unfairness in our society.

5. [+341, -14] BTS and EXO's performances were at different levels... Their situation is an example that shows that you need to be powerfully backed in Korean society in order to survive. Sure, EXO's popular, but 2018 was BTS' year no matter what anyone says, and BTS had the better stage at all three gayo festivals.

6. [+333, -10] It feels like the broadcast companies were teaching BTS and the public a lesson. A lesson showing that you need a powerful company backing you in order to get the treatment you deserve in this country. It's a bitter year-end. Is there hope in the New Year for the public without powerful backing?

7. [+301, -14] If you read this article and think to retort it, you are just an EXO stupid fangirl. The situation was wrong from all angles. BTS was the one top of the year but EXO got the ending stage each time? When people didn't even know what song they released all year? Or how many members are in the group? That's a blatant abuse of their company power. The viewers aren't stupid enough to fall for that...

8. [+274, -10] Too bad it was EXO that was taught a lesson ㅋㅋ you can't ignore the comparison of having to perform right after BTS ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

9. [+244, -12] It makes no sense that these broadcast companies are still so corrupted when BTS has accomplished and achieved so much this year. Our culture is being spread all over the world and yet our broadcast companies are busy catering to the whims of big companies.

10. [+231, -9] Our country still has a long way to go. It's still so easy for SM to take away the ending as long as they have the money and power to do so. So sad that Big Hit is weaker.

1. [+2,600, -454] I agree with the article. It makes me sad and angry that the depressing reality of our country is found in situations like this. I don't hate SM singers or think that they're amazing either but let's be honest and admit that they didn't achieve anything big this year. The three broadcast channels basically put on an SM party that invited other talented singers from mid-tier companies.

2. [+1,965, -317] You didn't even have to be a BTS fan to think that the ending was wrong~

3. [+1,677, -329] What an article that gets straight to the point. Objectively, BTS and EXO are no longer at a level where they can be compared. If BTS is Kim Yuna, EXO is Sotnikova. Just like how it isn't fair to give Sotnikova the gold medal over Kim Yuna, it isn't fair to give EXO the year-end ending stages over all of the accomplishments BTS has made all year. The viewers have every right to be enraged and this will only get worse as time goes on. SM needs a stern reprimanding for thinking they can fool the viewers.

4. [+1,347, -153] Amazing how SM doesn't change ㅋㅋ I remember back when g.o.d. was the nation's group, SM made HOT the ending ㅋㅋ Old habits die hard ㅋ

5. [+837, -98] So I wasn't the only one who thought this was weird..
